Gypsy Rose Blanchard is speaking publicly following the sudden death of her partner, Ken Urker, who was found dead at his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on October 1, 2026—his 34th birthday.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Blanchard said she believes Urker died from an overdose. However, she said she does not know what substance he may have taken or whether the overdose was intentional.
“He was not in a good state of mind lately,” Blanchard said.
Authorities are continuing to investigate Urker’s death, and the official cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
Blanchard described Urker as a loving father to their daughter, Aurora, and said he would always remain deeply important to her family.
She also spoke about the intense online scrutiny and cyberbullying Urker experienced during their relationship, saying she believed the pressure had a significant impact on him.
The couple had an on-and-off relationship for several years before reconnecting in 2024. They later welcomed their daughter, Aurora.
As Blanchard and her family mourn his death, she has asked for privacy and urged people to remember Urker for who he was beyond the headlines and social media.
